Chris Starmer

Professor of Economics, University of Nottingham

Welcome!

I am an experimental economist working on a range of projects studying human decision making. I also work on topics related to methodology (especially in relation to experimental economics). I’ve published widely on these topics and supervised around 25 PhDs.

I am founding Director of the CeDEx Research Centre.

I have collaborated on grants with a total value of c. £8 million (with £6.5 million as PI) including the ESRC Network for Integrated Behavioural Science.

I work with organisations to apply behavioural science to contemporary social problems. Examples include work with: UNDP developing tools to measure the impact of anti-radicalisation programmes in Pakistan; Oxford City Council to develop cost-effective tools to promote voter engagement.
